Tipping in Bitcoin is now available to all Twitter users

Tipping bitcoin to native BTC addresses is now possible.

Twitter users may now submit tips through the Bitcoin blockchain, according to a blog post published.

Twitter Has Added Bitcoin Advice

Users may tip bitcoin straight to a native Bitcoin address using Twitter‘s cryptocurrency tipping feature.

“You can now … add your Bitcoin address,” Twitter explains. “People can copy your address and paste it into a Bitcoin wallet of their choice to send you a payment directly.”

Users may also tip using Strike, a Lightning Network-based payment tool. This service is exclusively available to users in the United States and El Salvador, unlike native Bitcoin tipping.

Since early September, the feature has been in the works when it was first made available to a small group of beta testers.

Since May, tipping has been available

Since May, Twitter’s tipping service users have been able to transfer money using other connected platforms such as Bandcamp, Chipper, Patreon, Razorpay, WealthSimple Cash, and Venmo.

Square’s Cash App, led by Twitter founder and CEO Jack Dorsey, is also a tipping option.

GoFundMe and PicPay have been added to the company’s list of non-crypto tipping alternatives.

According to reports, the site aims to introduce non-fungible token functionality, allowing users to authenticate, track, and display their crypto collectibles.
