The Brooker Group will invest nearly $50 million in DeFi and Dapp startups


The publicly traded firm confirmed that it already owns bitcoin.

The Brooker Group, a publicly-traded financial consultancy headquartered in Thailand, expects to invest approximately $50 million in DeFi and dapp ventures.

According to an emailed statement released Tuesday, Brooker will invest in more than 15 high-growth firms, including Binance, Uniswap, and Filecoin.

Digital assets, DeFi, and dapps are expected to account for about half of the company’s overall assets.

According to Variety Bulakul, head of Brooker’s digital asset division and international business finance advisory, there is a responsibility to invest in new technologies or risk being left behind as the industry matures.

The firm also owns bitcoin (BTC, -3.57 percent), with first-quarter assets of 122.315 BTC valued at around $6.6 million.

According to the announcement, Brooker’s digital assets will be kept on exchanges like Coinbase and Binance until it selects a custody provider.
