Is Bitcoin ever going to reach $100,000? A recent viral post on Reddit focuses on an often-debated issue in the crypto world.

Numerous BTC analysts and traders, and top-ranking crypto entrepreneurs, have suggested that the leading cryptocurrency would hit six figures in value in the next several years, or have given formal forecasts.

The list of crypto influencers who predict BTC will touch six figures includes Dan Morehead, founder of Pantera Capital; Raoul Pal, Real Vision CEO and former Goldman Sachs manager; Anthony Pompliano, co-founder of Morgan Creek Digital; Jesse Powell, chief executive of Kraken; Tone Vays, veteran analyst; Nicholas Merten, famous YouTuber; Su Zhu, chief executive of fund management company Three Arrows Capital and so on.

Many Redditors agree with their faith, calling the rise of Bitcoin to $100,000 that is inevitable and claiming that it is only a matter of how much time it will take.

Others also claim that BTC is at the whim of whales and will remain too unpredictable for the sustained development of that kind.

One Redditor says he’s been a BTC investor since day one and realizes that ownership concentrated in the hands of a handful of early adopters has an excellent incentive to make money at at the rightt levels. He also thinks that the price will remain a cycle of pumps and dumps, ranging from $ 6k to $ 30,000 over the next ten years.

Others raised doubts about dollar depreciation and pondered at any time Bitcoin hits that value, “how much $100,000 can buy”. It will either top $100,000 or go bust and fall to zero, all based on adoption, some Redditors expect.
