Visa Onboarding Dozens of Crypto Companies Amid New Digital Asset Strategy

To promote new types of commerce, Visa expands partnerships with crypto companies globally.

Senior Vice President (SVP) global head of fintech at Visa and Cuy Sheffield, senior director of crypto at Visa – Terry Angelos, said that crypto companies are very welcome to cooperate with them.

There are over 20 companies in “various stages of development” that Visa was introduced to associate with.

These digital asset companies will have the ability to link to sixty million merchants worldwide with Visa’s network. This move to integrate multiple crypto businesses into its system supports the claims of Visa in July that the company expects to improve its bid to form and encourage the future of digital asset commerce.

Coinbase is currently the only cryptocurrency company that is a significant Visa; however, a few recommended companies could join the Coinbase alliance.

Cred, the digital asset-based lending platform, recently entered Visa’s FastTrack fintech program, enabling the company to integrate with Visa’s global network rapidly. Sheffield says that Visa aims to look for crypto alliances in its attempt to remain at the forefront of the digital currency market and perform research into the underlying blockchain technologies involved in these crypto assets.
